The challenge

Following a restructure in 2019, Majas recognised it needed a new IT strategy that would help them achieve their accelerated growth plan and secure all their business data. The company realised that, his-torically, it had not been fully in control of their ongoing business IT infrastructure costs for updates and security. They also felt that they did not control their own data and intellectual property. Majas wanted a proactive and cost effective support service to help them achieve long term goals and give them full visibility.

The solution

Majas partnered with Missing Link to provide an all-encompassing IT Managed Support package. We undertook a thorough on-boarding process taking a full inventory of their IT estate which allowed us to understand the company’s historical issues, their future goals and establish our suitability. We pro-vided detailed recommendations to support their growth plans and future-proof the organisation’s IT infrastructure with improved stability and security. We installed our own agents on all machines to fully manage each device checking memory, performance, patches and the generation of reports to provide a clear view of the health of their entire IT estate. We implemented new servers, Office 365, upgraded laptops with memory and solid-state drives, we installed a managed firewall, intuitive Anti-malware and Anti-virus software, email cleansing and the introduction of a Multi-Factor Authentication policy. We put a full disaster recovery plan in place with daily, secure, off-site backups including Office 365 data and all emails. We also provided Cyber-security training for all staff to help them be more aware of any potential threats.

The results

We continue to cover all of Majas’s technology requirements within a simple contract that gives them a clear view of all costs. The health of their systems are constantly managed and monitored giving them the peace of mind to focus on their business knowing their data is safe and their staff can operate efficiently.
