To
maintain a competitive advantage many organisations
deploy business continuity strategies that cover their
operational resources. Some organisations manage a
continuity strategy by constantly monitoring their
operational resources in order to reduce the impact of
an incident. Monitoring of IT equipment is often part of
an organisation’s continuity strategy. However the
environmental conditions of the room or location where
the equipment operates is often not monitored.Now organisations can monitor the
environmental conditions of the room or location where
the IT equipment operates by deploying Txt Alert's 2500text message controllers with
suitable sensors.
For
example, in a computer room the TA 2500 can be fitted
with a temperature sensor that will continuously monitor
a pre set temperature threshold. Should a temperature
threshold be exceeded the TA 2500 will send a text
message and alert you of the incident. Thereafter the
incident can be contained and thus reducing any damage
to your business.

temperature sensors are designed to operate in server
rooms, equipment racks and other areas where the
monitoring of temperature is critical. The sensor will
trigger an input on the TA 25XX and alert you via a text
message, when the temperature conditions exceed your
settings.

text message controller.

computer rooms the TA 25XX with passive infrared
detectors can be used to provide protection Of
equipment from a range of threats.

detector that has a NC alarm output.
Video Server
Often organizations only wish to record the output of
CCTV systems when an event has taken place. This
approach can save time and money in relation to
recording equipment and viewing time. A typical
application is when an intrusion take place in an area
under surveillance. The TA 2501 will detect the event
via PIR and send a text message to the security
team. At the same time an Axis server can be trigged by
TA 2501 to send an image to a recording system. The
security team are now informed and can take control of
the situation.
