FTTC stands for ‘Fibre to the Cabinet’. It’s a relatively new method of accessing a Broadband internet connection. It works by using your existing copper phone line all the way from the telephone exchange to your house or office, using a fibre-optic connection from the exchange to the “street cabinet” nearest to your location.
The technology is where Fibre Optic cables link your local exchange to the cabinet on your street. The connection from the street to your business is then run over copper, and as it will only be a short distance the performance over this small section of copper is excellent using VDSL2 technology delivering much faster speeds over short distances.
Missing Link offers business graded access to the UK's next generation fibre network, which offers faster download and upload speeds, more reliability and a higher performance than standard ADSL connectivity. Optional features are available if required including Annex M, Elevated Best Efforts, Voice Prioritisation and Enhanced Care.
